What to Know Before Buying a Quinceañera Dress in 2026

The top portion felt soft but structured. The bust area is stiff — it has to be. It’s doing a job. The skirt isn’t as buttery soft as the bodice, but that’s because it’s meant to sit over a petticoat. And yes — if you want that full dramatic Quince ball gown silhouette, you absolutely need a petticoat. Without one, it’s still beautiful. With one? Main character energy.
For 2026 girls, budget for the petticoat. Don’t skip it unless you’re intentionally going for a softer look.
